Our History

In 1965 the Woodford boys Dick, Tom, Art & Harry started Woodford Brothers. They were well known for building structures that were unique. In the early 1970’s they became very busy fixing structures, most commonly old timber framed barns. The typical customers back then were small dairy farms that were operating in these old structures as their primary place of business. Through the years the Woodford brothers developed a few unique repair techniques that served their customers well. Today Mike Woodford and his team are continuing the traditions as Woodford Barn Repair. In April of 2023 brothers Tom and Mike Woodford decided to to focus on the parts of the business they were most passionate about. According to Mike ” that is why Woodford Barn Repair exists”.

At Woodford Barn Repair, we custom design each project to meet the specific needs of our customers. All of our work is done via written contracts. We take pride in meeting and exceeding each customer’s expectations.

With over 50 years of experience in the structural barn repair, we have a deep understanding of the challenges our clients face. We have worked with customers of all sizes and across New England and Midwest area, giving us a unique perspective on how to deliver a successful solution your project.

Our Projects

Kathy Galloway: Burton, NY

“Mike, Cassie and Jeff from Woodford Barn Repair were a pleasure to work with, they transformed our 1800’s carriage style barn from a tilted, sagging old friend to a tall and stately old friend! Our barn is a post and beam barn that we knew would need an experienced professional to recover its shape and stability…Mike’s skill with the backhoe was exceptional and he was able to work in the tight spaces around the posts that I would have thought to be impossible. Woodford Barn Repair met our needs, and we are very pleased with the results.”

Philip and Joy Childs: Maine, NY

“Mike and his company, Woodford Barn Repair, worked on our 125-year-old barn and it was just as he estimated and projected. Within one week they were able to correct what time and weather had done. We thank him for adding at least another one hundred years to the future life of our barn.”

David Schlosser: Syracuse, NY

“I want to thank Mike and his team for their work quality in straightening and structurally reinforcing our 100+ year old horse barn. Over the years, time, weather and wind had stressed the structural frame. When completed the 30’x70’x40’ barn is good for another 100 years.”

Jennifer T: Newton, NY

“Woodford Barn Repair was a pleasure to work with. They were able to give us an estimate on-site the day of their initial visit. Once we contracted with them, they arrived on the scheduled day, kept in contact with us regarding arriving times and finished as planned. They were happy to explain the process to us and showed us the work in progress each day. Woodford Barn Repair met our needs.”
